Brad
Richdale Review

Brad Richdale used to be all over TV in the late 90's, touting
a home-study course called "The Secrets to Money Making Now."
It was one of the first business opportunity programs I purchased
through an infomercial.
The program came with a series of cassettes and a couple of books.
It seemed to be very similar in content to the stuff Don Lapre used
to sell, involving classified ads and 900 numbers. The tapes were
ok, and there was some useful information presented, such
as AIDA (which stands for Attention, Interest, Decision, Action
- representing some common steps in the marketing process). I learned
about AIDA and similar concepts in business school as well.
I don't think the content of Brad Richdale's program was as bad
as some people say it was. But the whole selling-though-classified-ads
concept has been beaten to death, and I'm not sure if it works anymore.
With the advent of the Internet, I decided not to try any classified
ad businesses since the Internet was a much more exciting space
to be in.
While I don't have a problem with Brad Richdale's course, I did
not appreciate the numerous follow-up calls from pushy telemarketers.
They would typically try to sell back end products for thousands
of dollars. And they would say stuff like "Just put it on a
credit card. Before you get your first statement, you'll definitely
make your money back." Give me a break.
This all does not matter much anymore since Brad Richdale is off
the airwaves and as far as I know, is not offering any products
at this time. But if he ever shows up again, before buying anything
from him, just know that in the past, he has delivered ok materials
but also tries to sell you expensive back end products by employing
rude telemarketers.
